About me

Husband/wife duo Chris and Alex White illustrate and design under the name WeThreeClub.

Chris -

Chris White graduated from Kingston University in 2005 with a degree in Fine Art and an unhealthy obsession with psychedelic posters.

He then began designing his own posters and fliers for local D.I.Y shows that both he and his friends would put on in and around Kingston, and did so under the guise 3dGlasses. This love of gigposters saw him being published in Clay Hayes' Gig Posters Volume I: Rock Show Art of the 21st Century and then in 2007 starting up Poster Roast, a platform to help showcase the ever growing gigposter scene throughout the UK, of which he and Alex continue to curate and organise shows for.

With a love of typography, especially dirty hand drawn text, layered with xeroxed found images in a cut and paste style, Chris takes the majority of his influences from Psychedelic art, 80s skate graphics and Chicano Folk art.

Alex -

Alex White graduated from London College of Fashion in 2005 after completing a degree in Makeup for TV and Film. Having a small crush on all things surreal and gory, she mainly focused on special effects make-up, and continues to carry that through into working for music videos and short films.

Although she studied make-up, Alex could never deny her passion for illustration and design. Combined with her love of music Alex has worked with various bands and companies throughout her career so far.

Her other love lies in curating exhibitions and organising events, which she now does alongside her husband through their company Poster Roast. In the past Alex also helped manage well renowned Cambridge gallery The Frontroom.
