About me

Matt Johnstone is an illustrator based in London.

Since graduating from Central St. Martin's College of Art & Design he has illustrated for a wide range of clients around the globe.

You may recognise Matt's illustrations from the Sport pages of The Guardian newspaper.

Recently Matt has explored responsive illustration and live art projects. He has been filmed drawing at events, scrawled ideas on boards at a festival, produced wall murals in agencies and even doodled on a canvas in the departure lounge at St Pancras international.

His illustrations are bold and playful, always hand-drawn but not limited to any particular medium, wether it be with pen & ink, digital tablet or paint pen.

Matt won a Gold Cannes Lion for his illustration work for Greenpeace's Car Free campaign and the Art Prize in Year Six at Steyning Primary School.
