This client is looking to employ a lead workplace designer to work alongside the head of design. There is a very large workload at present and the pipeline for the remainder of 2010 looks very strong. The practice's client base spans across media, financial, legal, public sector and retail sectors so there is a huge variety of design work in terms of style, scale and indeed budget! The role on offer offers both autonomy and a clear career path to become a director. Candidates will need to have a broad pallet of skills that will enable them to take a leading role within the practice; good sketching skills, an ability to successfully pitch for projects and good managerial skills are all key to this role. Almost all of the CAD work will be done by the team so this individual will need to be able to brief and manage the designers, CAD Technicians and visualisers effectively in order that the designs meet or exceed the client's expectations. Applications are welcomed from both interior architects and interior designers who have an office interiors specialism. This is a client facing role so candidates will need to have held a senior position in a reputable architectural or interior design practice. Salary £50 000- £65 000 dependant on experience.
