Whats the role?

We are seeking an entrepreneurial Senior Flash Designer to join our Creative Department.

You will need a deep understanding of Flash and the ability to conceptualize with Flash as a creative tool to execute visually rich and beautiful work. Working from storyboards, layouts or concept, you will be able to create innovative experiences under the direction of a Creative Director and in collaboration a producer and the wider project team.

Core duties and responsibilities:

Work closely with creative teams under the direction of a Creative Director to conceptualize projects including but not limited to web sites, online advertising, presentations and other animations
Translate designs accurately and seamlessly through creative collaboration
Create dynamic and scalable interactive Flash applications
When required provide consultative input regarding enhancements using Flash and related technologies during the development of ideas in the pre-animation phase
Assist in all phases of the creative work-stream from concepts, storyboards through to production
Work on multiple projects concurrently, as required, demonstrating a mature ability to handle many things at once
Handle changing priorities and other duties as assigned

Skills, knowledge and abilities:

Strong portfolio of Flash-based animations and a proven track record in Flash Design and/or Scripting and a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Computer Science or a related field
Expert level ActionScript programming
Expert knowledge of Flash Compression techniques and file structuring practices
Expert knowledge of Flash animation techniques using both the timeline and programmatic motion
Experience in creating dynamic Flash applications that use XML and server side technologies.
Expert knowledge of encoding audio and video within Flash
Proficient with CS3
Experience with HTML/Javascript/XML
Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with others
