Technical Director / CTO - Top 40 Digital Agency - London to £70k

One of London's most respected and multi-award winning digital focused production agencies have recently taken the decision to hire a new Technical Director / CTO into their business to spear head their technology division, which plays the most integral part to the business. The agency is a Microsoft Gold Partner so ideally they'll be looking for someone with vast experiences in Mircosoft .Net development within an agency.

About You
As Technical Director / CTO, you'll need to have a proven commercial track record within either an agency or network of delivering complex 'end to end' solutions for mass participation. You'll have detailed vertical sector knowledge in at least one key area i.e. retail, online, FMCG etc, and have demonstratable experience of dealing directly with clients in identifying, developing and closing projects of value £100k upwards. You'll be a true innovator and leader of people, with a disciplined approach to managing development teams, and a fresh outlook on technology with the ability to inspire and excite clients.

Technical Skills
Technically you should be familiar with:
*Agile / SCRUM project management methodology
*Hand-coded (X)HTML
*SQL & relational database design
*UML
*Accessibility and usability issues
*ActionScript 2.0/3.0 with knowledge of MVC and other frameworks
*ASP.Net 2.0/3.0/3.5 with C# with knowledge of MVC, and possibly have a knowledge of C# version 4
*SQL Server 2000/5/8
*Windows Server 2000/3/8 R2
*XML/XSL-T, XHTML/CSS
*JavaScript, and libraries, including JQuery, Prototype* (including AJAX)
*Visual studio 2008 and possibly 2010 required, Visual studio 2005 not essential
*Firewalls and networking topology
*Knowledge and experience of administering IIS web servers and knowledge and experience of SVN integration are essential.
*Although not a requisite, it would be useful to have knowledge of LAMP / UNIX systems.

The Role
As the Technical Director / CTO your role will be to oversee the quality of all technical work produced in the agency, which covers the project lifecycle from agency or client, to systems analysis, specification, build, testing, tracking and rollout of professional online advertising, email, widgets, campaigns, innovations, web sites or mobile campaigns.

*To build upon the existing Microsoft Gold Partner status.
*To evolve and maintain a visionary technical direction for Digital that ensures its position as a leading Internet Solutions company through skills acquisition, platform capabilities, strategic partnerships and industry reputation
*Hiring and mentoring of new technical members.
*Ensuring delivery of technical projects on time, to budget, to the highest quality and client expectation
* To act as a digital knowledge source to other members of the team.
*To develop a high level technical consultancy competency that provides specific pre-sale technical advice to clients on internet based technical strategies and architectures
