Rapidly growing B2B company specialising in services to the buildings and property sector is on the lookout for an experienced data professional.

As Data Analyst/Manager you will develop, plan and implement effective data management initiatives to maximize revenue generation, customer satisfaction and loyalty, competitive advantage and brand strength through the creative analysis and application of business data.

Working alongside am experienced team of 6 data validators, you will be able to provide the relevant information to drive the KPI's of the sales & marketing teams.
The key areas of the role are;

• Ensuring data is accurate & of the highest quality
• Extraction and importing of data from all sources (internal & external)
• Have clear understanding of the data strategy for the business and be integral in its delivery.
• Communication, from briefing stage through to data delivery with results reporting. Including;
• New data delivery
• Campaign results reporting
• List performance reports
• Analysis reports

Attributes required
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in  sales improvement through segmenting, developing and improving available data.

The ideal candidate will have come from a Data Analyst, Data Planner, Database Executive, Data Administrator, Campaign Analyst, Data Manager, Junior DBA etc. background with experience of preparing and analysing data within a campaign, marketing or direct marketing (DM) environment, either in house or for a marketing agency.

To be considered you must have:

• excellent Crystal Reports & SQL skills
• 5 years database marketing experience,
• be highly numerate (ideally with a numerical degree),
• have strong technical database development experience.

This is hybrid role sitting between IT and Marketing and will involve lots of stakeholder management.

Proven track record of delivering against requirements given timescale challenges with the key skills of:

• Minimum of least 5 yrs experience working with a CRM system based on a relational database, in b2b environments
• Must have experience of using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or 2008  & Crystal Reports
• An understanding of the fundamentals of Data Management
• Commercial experience of the Direct Marketing
• Sound technical background
• Experience of working across a sales team in all areas of demand generation
• Supporting the delivery of a high performing sales operation to maximise sales and revenues
• Providing relevant findings that will add value to process and performance improvement to manage change in key processes of Campaigns, Operations and Marketing related projects
• Maintaining a creative, innovative and inquisitive approach to new methods of applying findings from data to continually develop fundamental business practices
• Experience of delivering high quality analysis to senior stakeholders in a dynamic environment

The Person

The ideal person for this role must have be flexible and bring with them techniques for best practice in their field. Proven success is a must, and a strong understanding of how quality of data can improve and effect sales figures.

• Numerate with good analytical ability and knowledge of analytical tools
• Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment
• Experience of managing data in a call centre environment and its demands
• Knowledge and experience of process enhancement with a proven history of business improvement
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships both internally and externally
• Ability to manage a small team of people
• Good written and oral communication skills

• Flexibility and change orientation – ability to work in a fast paced and ever changing dynamic business environment which will require the job holder to manage a large volume of high priority tasks
• Ability to work alone and as well as part of a team
