Web Designer/Creative Designer

Location: Northants commutable from Milton Keynes, Northampton and Bedford

Salary: £22,000-£28,000

An excellent opportunity to work for a leading graphic and web design agency which has a friendly and creative environment.  We are looking for an enthusiastic design individual to produce primarily online (some offline) design projects, for a variety of clients.  The role is around 80% website design/development and 20% design for print.

You'll work on a variety of projects, ranging from the maintenance and development of existing websites, through to starter websites and high-level, complex online projects - fully supported by an in-house development expert for Corporate clients.

Print design projects may range from business cards and flyers, through to advertising, corporate brochures and other commercial communications.

Essential skills required:

Ideally you will have around 3 years proven experience, with a viewable portfolio to match. You will be passionate about your work, and highly-motivated to deliver client-focused design projects. As well as;-

• Full working knowledge of Adobe Web Premium CS3+
• Excellent knowledge either of Dream weaver or hand coding, Photoshop and Flash.
• Adobe In-Design and/or Quark Illustrator
• Proven, commercial experience of building websites using HTML, CSS, SEO best practice and associated technologies.
• Knowledge of printing process, with the ability to create print-ready artwork.
• Ability to discuss projects with clients and offering creative input and advice
• SEO knowledge
• Copywriting ability

Above all you will enjoy adding your own flair and input both for the team and for clients, and understand what makes a website successful. You will be able to help create logical site-plans and navigation in order to make the web user's experience as effective as possible.
