To help develop a wide range of education based websites and resources as part of an in-house team. This is a job for a self starter who can handle plenty of responsibility.

Recent projects have included search engines, web services for Flash games and plugin development for CMSs. Clients incl. BP, E.On, Google, Royal Bank of Scotland and DCSF

Duties and Responsibilities


  • To design, develop and test high profile websites
  • To design, develop and test relational database system.
  • Analyse customer requirements to produce a functional and effective solution
  • Deploy and configure websites.
  • To monitor web server and site technical performance.
  • As necessary work with unfamiliar technologies



Skills / Attributes Required
Two years experience of the following is essential:


  • ASP.NET websites (incl. XHTML & CSS)
  • C# 2008
  • MS SQL Server 2005/2008



Experience of the following is highly desirable:


  • JavaScript & JQuery
  • Web Services
  • Search Engine Optimisation principles
  • CMS integration & development



Experience of the following is desirable:


  • MVC
  • ActionScript 2.0
  • Test Driven Development
  • XML/XSLT
  • Web and accessibility standards

  • A can do, flexible attitude with proven experience of working in a small team
  • Can work to tight deadlines and remain cool under pressure
  • Diligence, responsibility and confidence to be self-managing and effective
