Dennis Communications is the customer publishing arm of Dennis Publishing, one of the world's leading independent publishers. Since January 2008, Dennis Communications have been leading the way in publishing branded editorial content.

The Role

As part of our continued expansion we have an excellent opportunity for a keen, skilled Digital Designer with at least 1-2 years experience to join an established Design team within Dennis Communications, the customer publishing agency within Dennis Publishing.

This role involves working across our portfolio of clients on various digital work
we produce for them including digital magazines, websites, advertising and
email.

The successful candidate will have to be passionate about and capable of
producing strong, highly intuitive interactive design and layout. They will need to
be self-motivated and able to provide project management support and
documentation as well as demonstrate creative problem solving abilities using
a multitude of skills.

Attributes:
Will have 1-2+ years experience within a challenging interactive design environment.
Demonstrate ability to scope projects
Ensure the use of best practices' in the design and development of Internet projects.
Must be able to work independently on projects and also collaborate as a strong team member with excellent attention to detail.
Experience managing client relationships and expectations

Technical skill set:
CSS & HTML (Clean, W3C compliant, modular, comprehensively marked up, cross-browser, cross-platform compliant)
Flash action script (AS2&3)
Strong Photoshop/Illustrator skills
JavaScript (AJAX)
Also beneficial:
Flex/AIR application build
PHP & Database integrations
Version control systems
