Our client are an award-winning integrated full-service communications agency with 14 full-time staff. Their clients are across a wide range of sectors and include Hitachi, American Airlines, Bang & Olufsen, Uniqlo and Samsung.

They specialise in launch activity for global brands.

They are looking for a Junior Web Designer/Developer who has commercial experience of front-end website development with XHTML, CSS and Javascript and also have some experience in PHP, MySQL, Drupal and Wordpress.

The candidate should have a passion for front-end development and an interest and knowledge of emerging technologies.

Location: Central Guildford, Surrey - 40 minutes by train from London Waterloo.

Role:
Working within a small development team you will initially be responsible for delivering day-to-day support to our clients, with scope to increase your role as your experience grows. The core of the role is front-end work, and integrating this with various back-end systems. You will also maintain a number of sites in different CMS's and in static XHTML/CSS/JavaScript.


Key Responsibilities:
1 Web design and implementation: Working with Senior Creatives and back-end developers to help deliver fully-functioning websites, including working with existing CMS and templates where required.
2 Creative: We expect the candidate to have a good creative eye and input on design and delivery methods.
3 Attention to detail: In both the design and coding of sites
4 Delivery: Ensuring clients' deadlines are met by organising hosting requirements and uploading websites accurately and on time.
Technical Skills: o XHTML & CSS, ideally with a strong knowledge of Javascript and Flash
o Experience with jQuery, AJAX, PHP, SQL and XML
o Good working knowledge of creating templates and themes for content management systems.
o Experience of working to current W3C standards
