Our Client a fantastic heritage Fashion Retail Brand is looking for an experienced Web Designer to join their busy e-commerce team.

What is the purpose of the job?
* To be the guardian of the user experience, and look and feel, of the brand's website and email programme
* To create compelling visual design and user flow diagrams within the Online sphere
* To work effectively with Marketing, Creative Studio and Retail Visual Design to ensure consistency of approach across all channels, creating a seamless brand experience
* To conceptualise and maintain email templates and assets, and to work with Marketing to deliver consistently on-brand and high performing email campaigns
* To create new functionality templates in accordance with best design and UCD principles, and to create web pages and assets that make the website come alive


What are you accountable for achieving?
* Conceptualising website and email UCD in line with the brand strategy
* Localisation of experience across our UK, German and US sites
* Creation of effective email concepts in line with email strategy, and production of assets for these emails
* Working with the Site Development Manager to create wire-frames and presentation layer visuals for new functionality and website developments, in line with usability and accessibility principles
* Creation of Online display formats for affiliates and other media partners

What are you responsible for doing?
* All website merchandising assets
* Improvement of existing website assets
* Creation of versioned images for new season launches
* Creation of pages in line with site templates, and creation of new site templates
* Wire-frame and design of new site developments, in conjunction with our design agencies where necessary or relevant
* Assisting with usability testing and feedback
* Production of all marketing emails, and service emails (confirmation emails, etc), and meeting all related deadlines
What technical knowledge do you need?
* In-depth working knowledge of Photoshop and Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Visio and preferably Flash
* Excellent usability and accessibility/SEO knowledge
* Ability to wire-frame and task model
Intermediate to good HTML knowledge and ideally CSS. Other front-end codes would be advantageous
