Become part of a lean and mean User Experience team within our fast-growing company. Youll be working on our flagship Hotels.com website that helps a half of a million people a day book hotels for business and pleasure.

A solid pillar of the Hotels.com user experience team, the Creative Designer will create engaging and brand relevant creative assets to help construct the overall user experience.

Key Areas Of Responsibility:

Collaborate with the UX team to translate business objectives and user needs into emotionally engaging visual designs

Contribute to the authoring visual design style guide

Create, optimize, and extract custom artwork (illustration, photo-montage, icons, and more) for internal and external customers

Translate offline campaign themes into meaningful online designs for use in promotions

Design for print and video when necessary

Contribute to project objectives and represent our customers in discussions with business stakeholders

Build basic prototypes for design research

Continuously improve the user interface using customer insight with the aim of increasing customer reach, conversion and brand loyalty

Track and report status and risks to project stakeholders and proactively escalate issues when appropriate.

Provide support track as needed

Produce estimates for future tasks and projects

Contribute to advancing the teams design methodology, focusing on quality, client-side performance and efficiency.

Keep up to date with new developments in relevant design, technology, standards and best practice

Experience & Qualifications:

Fantastic visual design skills

3+ years practicing solid visual design (graphic, web, mobile, kiosk, interactive display, motion graphics), preferably with experience in e-commerce

Degree-level or equivalent experience, specializing in graphic design, typography, web design, animation or multimedia disciplines

An understanding of the implications of designing for front-end development

Working understanding of dynamically generated websites.

Demonstrated experience working within a cross-functional team

Embraces creativity, innovation and is open to new ideas

Ability to accept constructive criticism and drive designs to sign-off

Ability to work with minimal management on multiple projects

Candidates with agile (SCRUM) experience with be given higher consideration

Cross-disciplined candidates (design research, visual design, client-side mark-up) experience will be given higher consideration

Sense of humor, while not required, is highly desired
